Level 2 & Level 3 Retail Workplace Courses

Let us organise the placement for your students with one of our Retail Workplace partners

“Students that I have placed in the Gateway programme with Gold Star have succeeded in obtaining all the credits offered and, more importantly, gaining valuable experience in customer service and retail skills.  I have seen them grow incredibly in confidence through being on the shop floor, interacting with customers and the staff.  When I visit them, as I have just this week, it is really exciting for me to see how confident and enthusiastic they are, from the combination of the tutoring and theory provided by Gold Star, and the wonderful support and supervision of the Farmers Staff.  As a results there are at least four of my students who have subsequently been offered regular paid positions at Farmers that I can think of (off the top of my head), and many others who have gone on to gain employment at other stores/venues “
Jenni Catley, Gateway Co-ordinator, Marist College, Auckland
“I would like to give some feedback regarding the customer service courses.  Shoda is one of the most organised and professional people I have dealt with as an outside provider representing Gold Star.  She interacts well with the students and because the programme runs smoothly we have 100% success rate.  Thank you Shoda”
Samantha Kelsall, Gateway Co-ordinator, Papatoetoe High School, Auckland
“Thanks firstly for the opportunity to have students doing work experience at Farmers in 2017 and this year.  We had one student enrolled and completed successfully last year and have 2 nearing completion and 2 about to start in term 2.  I believe it gives the students a great opportunity to experience the world of work which many aren’t used to.  It also prepares them in practical ways that you just can’t achieve in a classroom situation.  So for Manurewa High we find these programs invaluable and we will continually support it”
Neil Lawton, Gateway Co-ordinator, Manurewa High School, Auckland
“We have had a couple of students who were offered part-time work through their Gateway placments at Farmers, Glenfield.  This is a valuable programme for our students.  We are grateful to Farmers for giving our students the chance to experience life in the world of work.  This opportunity helps students build confidence and teaches them commitment and helps them transition from school to work.  It builds self-awareness and confidence and great customer service skills.  These are transferable skills our young people will utilize wherever they go or whatever they do.”
Rena Foolchand, Gateway Co-ordinator, Glenfield College, Auckland
